She held her son close to her chest one last time. That final embrace reminded her of the first time she held him as a newborn child. The smile and excitement turned into sorrow and grieving.
She would've saved her child just like any mother would do. But she is not like any other woman. She had to let him go and watch him get beaten up and get crucified. She did not save her child from us in order for us to be saved by him.
