Samson

This painting is inspired by Judges 16:21-30. I merged all the notable symbols from those verses into one scene to summarize the story of Samson. I believe that the main takeaway is identifying the main source of strength. People believe it was from his hair because he was a Nazirite. But even if his hair was cut short and he did actually lose his strength, he gained it back when he asked God to have it one last time to blow up the pillars. God was his strength all along. He was the one who chose Samson to be a Nazirite and gave him extraordinary strength. It makes sense that he is also the only one who could bring Samson's strength back. And even though Samson was considered the strongest man in the Bible, he displayed some weaknesses in other aspects of his life. Before he died, he called out in humility to someone way stronger than him.

The original painting is a watercolor illustration on 8x10" portrait-oriented paper.

Similar to my "Sodom's Curse" painting, the cropped design is printed on 8x10" landscape-oriented matte-finish paper. If you want me to sign in front of or in the back of your art print, just let me know by leaving a buyer's note in your order.
