Memento Mori Vanitas
Your flesh and your wits, pleasures and desires, ambitions and dreams, possessions and pride, status and fame—they will all come to pass, forgotten, and dead.
Everything in this life is temporary. The only thing that lasts forever is His word. Therefore, if you believe in what Jesus did on the cross for the remission of your sins and continue to stay in His light, you shall never see death and perish, for you will be rewarded with eternal life.
Look away from yourself, from the clutter of this world, from the chaos and wickedness. Only then will you see the true meaning and purpose of life. At that moment, you won't need to be reminded of Memento Mori, or "Remember, you will die," but in John 11:25-26, "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die."
