This painting is inspired by the common phrase "Those who have eyes to see, let them see. Those who have ears to hear, let them hear," found mostly in the Book of Revelation. It is also inspired by Matthew 13:17, where the scripture says, "For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it."
