This artwork is inspired by Daniel 3:1-30 and some of my tragic personal experiences as a Christian. There were times when people forced me to accept/normalize a destructive ideology and falsely accused me of something just because of my faith. And because I don't give in to their ways, they persecute me, inflict harm on me, get threatened, or have my reputation destroyed. This is when the "burning furnace" biblical story becomes practicable for me. It reminds me to yield myself up for God, and if it means I should be destroyed, let it be so. But by having the faith of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, I pray that I may be worthy to walk out of the burning furnace untouched by fire and completely unharmed.
