This illustration is inspired by the story of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4 of the Bible. "Am I My Brother's Keeper?" is a direct quote of Cain's response when God asked him where his brother was. There's more to the story than it looks on the surface. I encourage you to read and study the Bible. For the sake of the art, I included as much symbolism and emotion as possible.
The original art is mixed media on 8x10" archival paper. I used watercolor, acrylic, and gouache to color it. It is signed and dated at the bottom right side of the picture.
