I used to have an artwork called "The Butcher." It was a cover-up design of the actual person who mistreated me. He was my devil. In this artwork, I reused "The Butcher" to illustrate the 7 demons that tormented Magdalene. What I like about the story of Magdalene is how inspiring she is, especially now that I share the same experience with her. When Jesus, the Lamb of God, had freed me from my demon, I took ownership of myself and made it a temple for God. I finally trampled my demon and have never fallen into the same temptations ever again. Just like Magdalene, I have become a devout follower of Jesus. I aspire to be like her, who never left Jesus' side. She was known to be one of the followers who stayed when Jesus was crucified and buried. She was also known as the first person to witness Jesus' resurrection. Just like her loyalty, I will stay until I witness my savior's second coming and be with him eternally.
