If I ate the fruit, why am I still hungry?
I sought the truth. That's when it hit me.
I wouldn't end up like this if I listened more intently.
I ate the wrong food; I fed the wrong body.
My soul was craving your word, but it was the flesh I satisfied.
Now I know where I went wrong. I need to be sanctified.
Please erase the memory of its lingering taste and beauty
so I may not corrupt my body, and fall to my own folly.
